When ripping CD audio, most of the time the media:/ protocol does just fine
but in some cases it doesn't work. Eg: CDs with an audio session at the front
and a data session at the back, media:/ always reads the data session. This
is when I'd use audiocd:/ to force it to read the audio

I've had similar trouble with 3.4.0, although it doesn't seem to be bound to
mounting anything. It's quite random, but only in file mode.
I posted a backtrace here a few days ago. No response yet. :-)
