Wow, is it me or does KDE seem to start up a lot quicker with this
version? No breakage so far, but it doesn't fix the psychedelic
translucent menus or the missing plastik widg

I'm using sid. After last dist-upgrade, shadows decorating any division in a
kde app (for instance the kmail screenshot you can see through the link at
the bottom) are too big.
I haven't been able to solve this in kcontrol -> screen decorat
