I finished setting some background settings (slideshow of background tiles) and clicked OK ... then KPanel crashed. Now I have no panel. Logging out and then back in does not cause a restart. Any ideas? -- Comments are appreciated, Bob

Hi David, I tried your tip but the result is the same. I suspect it has something to do with: dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe) but I don't know what the error could be. Is there any log file where I could see what apt-get resp. dpkg is trying to do? Regards, Marc On 20
