By the way, I did an apt-get source konqueror so I could build a konqueror deb
with debug symbols in it (my copy doesn't have debug symbols - I just get a
lot of no symbols found messages in the backtrace), and received the entire

KMix is still version 3.1.2.
I am sure someone has already mentioned this, but could anybody please explain

Well.. made some progress. but no cigar
I managed to "downgrade" xlibs-pic and xlibs-dev to the
experimental 4.3.0-pre1v4 version (over Knoppix's 4.3.1 dummy package).
Tried to compile kdelibs again, got past the Xinerama_pic
problem (so it WAS in there..) and a whole lot further..

KDE 3.2 has not yet been released, I don't even think any RC's have
been released yet. Debian KDE packages will normally be made
available when KDE 3.2 is released.

KDE packagers are very busy, AFAIK. KDE needs still some work for entering in
Sarge, and there are some bugs in Sid, that should be fixed first.
