I was able to compile and install the kbatt applet using

> make install
the kbatt libraries are installed in
/usr/local/kde/libs
But when I go to start the applet by right clicking the panel and
clicking add > applet i cannot see the kbatt applet so I can start it.

Not knowing anything about licq, I assume this is due to the lack of KDE3 in
sid. Presumably when KDE 3 is in sid, the kde plugin will
