Have exactly the same problem except I have installed
Debian 3.0 from scratch. So far I have been unable to
get https going with konqueror.

For KDE2 I had installed CUPS as it was well supported by the printing
system. Now, apparently, the printing system can make use of lpd or lpd
additionally. I'm just using my locally connected printer (Kyocera
FS-800) and there are no others who access it. Is there any point in
using CUPS, the

It's not a Bug, it's a feature (people say...) But Arts is a real monster, I

Make sure you have installed libarts1-bin. The binaries don't come with plain
libarts any more, it seems.
BTW, I have a different problem with aRTs & KDE 3.0.4: it is horribly slow,
takes 10+% of CPU time on my 1.5Ghz P4 and the sound snaps.

I have a strange problem with fonts, I would welcome any thoughts of what is
happening here.
Running in konsole with the "normal" font set
running pstree, the "|" and "-" characters that make up the tree vertical and
horizontal lines display fine

Hello,
I compiled and run kvoctrain version 0.7.0pre7 under woody/KDE 2.2.
Now it craches everytime with segment violations, when the file kvoctrainrc
is at disk.
Is there something to be regarded, when compiling KDE-progs for woody?
Knows someone, what is goining wrong?

Hello,
I have Debian Woody and KDE 3.0.4. I have a Creative
SBLive card and am using the emu10k1 OSS driver. Sound
seems to work fine since my microphones responding to
sound and the speakers play it back as I speak into
the microphone.
I've installed the kdemultimedia package. I can run

I recently did a dist-upgrade of a Debian system, to solidify all
the packages at the Debian 3.0 level, and I seem to have lost the
ability to do https in konqueror.
I had solved this problem before (from advice in this list,
thanks y'all) by ensuring that I had the "kdebase-cry
