You can search the archives for how to install KDE 2.2.1 from Sid using apt's
preferences file (which you'll need to create). This has the advantage of
making it easy

Thanks. In fact I just updated to 2.2.1 and also inst
Well sort of. I have a setup where my system looks okay and displays
everything I need. All I need to know now is how to set the font for the
terminal window. I think I need a fixed width font there to be able to clear
screen etc.

Okay, I made another package based off of kdelibs-2.2.1-4. Get it at
http://bishop.dhs.org/~david/kdelibs3_2.2.1-4_i386.deb.
And I was just about to ask if anyone actually used these packages, but I
checked my logs and a whopping 30 people downlo

Hello Debian-Group!
I got one solution for my problem but this ended in one problem that I
can't understand!
First: I edited the file in /etc/pam.d which is called kscreensaver and
deleted the first line in it, which
implies if a user locks a session then any user can log in again in the
kde-sess
Hello,
I was using Potato until recently and upgraded to Woody a few
days ago, when I got a new computer at work. I installed the KDE
packages, and they are working well except for two problems:
1. Java and Javascript are not working at all in Konqueror,
even though both are enabled globally. Whe

Hello Debian Group!
I already asked you yesterday how to cancel locking out from a
user-session, but nobody replied.
so I want to specify my question!
Because many of my clients should use KDE - there should be no ability
to lock the screen (I know that with: strg + alt + Backspace you can

A little change I've noticed with KDE 2.2.1 and konsole
is when making a selection in a shell that one _has_ to
move the mouse away from the selected area before being
able to MMB paste the text. I never had to do this up
till the recent 2.2.1 updates. Any else notice this and
have any suggestions

Thank you very much for sharing your efforts into this
problem. FWIW, just a hint of how to downgrade a package
would be nice. I'm a lo
Hello,
I have a SB Live 1024, but kmix under his menubar instead of "Sound Blaster
Live" or similar, displays "TriTech TR ?".
I think this is why in the kernel, emu10k1 loads AC97.
How can I make kmix display the right soundboard name?
thanks,
Mikage
Hi,
does anybody know how far away KDE 2.2.1 is from woody?
Thanks.
