You should copy all the packages you've downloaded to
/var/cache/apt/archives/ and then use apt-get

I have or had a very annoying run app button on the bottom of the big K
menu button. I figured I would right click on the app button and get rid
of it. I zapped the whole kde K button. Can I get it back??? It did not
affect the user account. Is there anyway to
edit that big K button.
Experience
links in email (Kmail) won't open Konqueror, and right-clicking on links in
Konqueror and selecting "new window" also doesn't work. In both cases a
window pops w/ "copying file in progress", and then closes without opening
the URL in Konqueror. What do I have to do to fix this? KDE 2.1 on potato
