Good day,
I tried to upgrade to KDE 2.1 beta's and during the process, encountered the
following problem:
While configuring kdelibs3 the following message

That pretty much trashed the complete install process.

Good day,
Is anyone packaging, or thinking of packaging, kdevelop?
Or is the dependancy on KDE 1.2 libs a showstopper?

Ok...time for another update email. :)
KDE 2.0.1 status:
kde-i18n-* packages are still being tweaked...next round (currently
building) will fix the kde-i18n-es problems as well as the problem
with the ../common link that plagues all of the kde-i18n-* packages.

The problem appeared in 2.0-final-13, disappeared with 2.0.1, and now
appeared again with potato2. That's all I can say for now... :-( :-(

KDE 2.0.1 is now starting on my box.
I used update-alternatives to remove the entry pointing to /usr/bin/kwin and
replaced it with one pointing to /usr/bin/kde2.
It'd be interesting to know how this one got munged.. since it appears
/usr/bin/kde2 is still the file that should be executed to s

I installed the latest series of packages from kde.tdyc.com just now on
another machine of mine. As usual, I ran 'update-alternatives --config x-
window-manager' to reset x-window-manager to KDE (for some reason it goes back
to enlightenment every single time there's any major update to KDE2).

Sorry about that...upstream changed the config param for that and I missed it.
Change it from UserView=false to ShowUsers=N

Got this today:
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Calculating Upgrade... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED:
kchart killustrator koffice-common koffice-libs koshell kpresenter
kspread kword task-kde task-koffice
The following NEW packages will be installed:
I'd like to know it other have that problem...
I'm using fetchmail to... fetch my mail, and I'd like it to start with KDE.
I could do it without problem with KDE1 and with the beta versions of KDE2 by
creating an appropriate file in the Autostart folder.
But in the last CVS versions of KDE2

It appears that one final problem compels me to keep Netscape in the library.
Konqueror will not support a login to webmail.netscape.com.
Reports site not found. Running kde 2.0.1.
Any clues?
Thanks
