Hi,
Please remove the findbugs-bcel package. It contains an early snapshot
of BCEL 6.0 for the needs of the findbugs package, but findbugs now uses
the updated BCEL package. findbugs-bcel is no longer used and can be
safely removed.
Thank you,
Emmanuel

I would wait for the final BCEL release, things may change again, and
there is no urge to update BCEL since our version is already compatible

Hi Java Team,
I have packaged the latest upstream of bcel and am preparing to upload
it to experimental to aid with transitioning its reverse dependencies.
The following is from the upstream changelog:

Source: bcel
Version: 5.2-10
Severity: important
User: debian-java@lists.debian.org
Usertags: openjdk-8-transition
BCEL 5.2 doesn't support Java 8, this causes a build failure on the ha-jdbc
and libjibx1.1-java packages with OpenJDK 8. The error looks like this:

Hi,
I've packaged the new release (5.2) of BCEL. Would you [debian-java] mind
having a look at it to see if it is OK? I've committed the changes in svn
(pkg-java/trunk/bcel). URL of dsc:

Depends on the version. The latest version tries to use NIO locking unless the
respective class is removed, and NIO locking does

archive (yet?).
I found it on its package site - it is in experimental.
And I thought already I would be blind. ;-)
