Sorry, my fault. There is no circular dependency and the package builds
correctly.
Can anybody explain me how the circular dependency was resolved? How can
the package tycho depend on itself?

are you sure of this? The package is built with Ant, not with Maven, so
it cannot be a pure Maven package, am I wrong?

Tycho is a Maven project with lots of modules, where most of the pom's
use a package type that is introduced by Tycho itself. So one cannot use
these pom's at all.

Just FYI.
The "third source" used by Fedora packagers to build Tycho is, in fact,
not a source.
It is a collection of jar's obtained from pdebuild [1].
So, I am currently stuck here.
