Hi Miguel,
I'm cc-ing debian-java as it might interest other people here.
I prepared Gradle 1.5 but didn't push the upload yet as I'm unable to

you please go ahead and upload it to unstable. I tried to upgrade
further to 1.6

That may be a bug in the JRE, or an issue in the Shredder Chess code
that makes assumptions that aren't always true in some L&F.
I doubt Oracle puts a lot of support behind the Gnome L&F for Swing, so

In the meantime I can confirm that some of the themes in GNOME also solve the
issue. Among them is Unity, Simple, Mist, Bluebird and Albatross. For the rest
of the them the Shredder GUI is broken.
How can that be? Who can fix that?

Hello Emmanuel,
you brought the topic a big step further towards resolution. I tried several
different themes in gnome, but did not succeed. But in KDE the approach was
successful.
When changing to the window decoration theme "Oxygen" I do not have the issue

Hi all,
The upgrade of plexus-archiver to 1.2 broke maven-assembly-plugin, I'm
looking for a sponsor to upload the update addressing this issue.
