I think that a separate lucene3 package will be required, as there is no
guaranty that with the API changes an upgrade will work as expected.

I re-uploaded the package and I tried to fix all the issues you gave me.
The source package now builds 3 binary packages :
- libservice-wrapper-java - Jar daemon wrapper java libraries
- libservice-wrapper-jni - Jar daemon wrapper JNI libraries

with this in Debian?
