I am currently running j2sdk1.3 with tomcat-3.2.1 and apache-1.3.19
with mod-je matching the tomcat.
There seems to be a problem communicating from apache to the tomcat.

J.R. emailed me privately the more details. Since I don't know the JSP
stuff real well (read: not at all :) I figured I would send this to the
list where it stands a chance of being answered intelligently.
In the meantime, I would suggest turning that tomcat web server back on.

what were you doing, what did you expect to happen, what actually
happened. :)
My *guess* suggests that you tried making symbolic link into a directory
where you don't have write access. Either make the link as root (with su
