For those who are interested, the oolong project began as a discussion between Ean Schuessler and I regarding his JFORK proposal. Rather than creating a nearly compatible but DFSG-free implementation of Java itself, I figured that a fork should offer some actual improvement for systems programming

jdb broken in jdk1.1-dev 1.1.7v3-1?

Hi all, Has anyone else found that after installing jdk1.1-dev 1.1.7v3-1, jdb fails to run, giving the following error: Initializing jdb... [Internal debugger error: Failed to exec a child java interpreter.] It was running fine before apt installed 1.1.7v3-1. thanks, Mike. -- ? Michael G
