Heya colleagues,
I am wondering what your suggestion is for the following (typical I
guess) ISP-need:
Mailinglistmanager that supports
- virtual hosts (and different setups for each)
- translation / customization of all automatic generated
messages
- Newsletter-

Is it possible for the subscribers to work without passwords? Can the
web-pages be disabled for the subscribers?

Hi guys,
I had some problems to set up an actual pop-before-smtp for my
postfix-courier(imap|pop)-system. So I tried to use Woody's package
which didn't work correctly (because of a broken regexp that needs to be
found... I guess)

Hey guys,
I am wondering what FTPDs you are using to support the following:
- non local users in (My)SQL-Database
- permit access to these users only to ~/ (chroot)
So far the only one I've found is proftpd. Other suggestions?

Of course, I couldn't have done "hdparm -i /dev/hda" without ;)

How do you restrict your virtual WWWebspaces that have PHP enabled? So

open_basedir /virtual/example.com/htdocs
safe_mode On

I am stuck in setting up a regex to be used in the AliasMatch-directive
in Apache.
I want to make it possible to access some of my virtual webspaces even
if the apache was not yet configured or DNS-update takes too long :)
My virtual webspaces can be found in
/home/vwww/example.com/host/htdocs/
# ls -lad /root/
drwxr-xr-x9 root root 4096 Jul 31 18:25 /root/
I wonder if /root/ shouldn't be accessible by root only per default? But
in which package can I find this one? Should I make a bug-report or do
you think this is normal? (It might be some kind of SuSE-remembrance
