Why not use Bind 9.2.1..
It's in woody.. When I came over from Slackware to Debian I installed it
and haven't looked back..
The file format was the same from 8.3.* to 9.2.1 I didn't have to do anything..

For some reason there where 2 bind scripts in /etc/init.d/ one named bind
and one bind9 it messed with named running right so I killed bind script
and left the /etc/init.d/bind9

Qpopper also has a habit of just stopping, I have have to
reload xinetd several times a day.
I run qpopper here with users keeping mail in /var/mail/username and have
no problems what so ever with the setup..

Switched over from Slackware after years of doing things the manual way

Anyways...
I installed qpopper on my system using dselect..
Install went flawless but when you try to pop mail from the server the
connection would just
Wasn't a DNS issue.. Was a write permissions problem to /var/spool/pop
I changed the permissions to 1777 and now qpopper is working fine.

Has anyone used etinc bandwidth manager
(http://www.etinc.com/index.php?page=bwmgr.htm) on a Debian system?
It's not one of the supported distributions and I just wondered if I could
get by with the software version or if I should just buy one of the
appliances they offer.
