Some years ago, i was playing on a machine with a user account, and
when i tried to make a chroot, it notified me that a mail for the
administrator was send due to an intent to compromise the machine. I
think that it was a realtime IDS. Now, i need something similar, but i
haven't found

I need to provided some basic services for an ISP. I have almost
everything resolved except a chat services. The server is running but i
cann find any software to access it via web. Anybody knows something?

using http://jail.sourceforge.net/ that´s not bad at all, but
something that would integrate more into debian and possible to
install with an "apt-get jail" or similar would be also nice.

After applying the latest Debian Woody security update to BIND I am getting
sysquery errors logged to the daemon log complaining that bind can't get an
address for any of the root servers.
Everything I can find says that the problem is an out-of-date root hints
file but I have do

I am not sure (cause I do not have ssh to your machine) but I think you are
using wrong php.ini file
Accroding to this one there is NO zend optimizer.
Look for correct php.ini in /usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini
