We have updated our server to PHP 4.3.8 and MySQL 4.0.2. Some of our
clients run a shop software that need 'LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE' to store
its data to MySQL. MySQL itself supports the command. I can run it from
mysql-client. That works. I have read about the fix on php.net

I simply just installed spamassassin from cpan and restarted amavis,
amavis automatically found it and started using it. Check your
amavisd.conf as theres a few options in there to tinker with to get it
working right.

May I suggest postfix as an MTA if your keen on doing *sql lookups.
I found the best solution for mass mailing host is postfix + amavisd-new
+ spamassassin + razor + clamd + mysql + courier-imap/pop3 . There's
plenty of howto's around for it.

Pptp-linux is about all there is unfortunatly, you'll also need to get a

You can restrict user's to there home directory by simply adding
'DefaultRoot ~' into your /etc/proftpd.conf, not sure about other
directories though :)

So my question, how do the rest of you ISP/Sendmail guru's do it ?

antivirus packages Ive tried for debian will only just scan the user's
mailbox, which obviously is no good as there are no user mailbox's on
the linux relay. Anyone attempted this before?

Just install another pop3 service with your imap one.. it should work
fine I think... there are some pop daemons available.. I think I remeber
one being ipopd...
