axacheng, Promise Technology has a good card, SX6000. It supports up to 6 ide drives in RAID5. I don't remember if it came with a Linux driver but their web site (www.promise.com) has drivers for a couple of flavors of Linux. There is also source code. Here is the link: http://www.promise.com
