I'll add this to my list of things to edit for the wiki.

I hope that helps!

you place it in the public domain. But they rarely
do so. They generally prefer you to assign them copyright.

7;d try to follow that guide and report back here. Best of luck!
Also way to go trying to run the Hurd on real hardware! How stable does
X seem? Does it seems fairly cool to use?

You could easily start by editing the GNU/Hurd wiki. I got started
doing that. I haven't done any of those edits in a while.

Hello,
I just installed the Debian cd image and get it running on my computer
using kvm. It was difficult! I would like to propose that some
information be added to the current Debian website. Specifically on:
http://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/hurd-cd
Something like this would have saved
SSDT SSDT SSDT SSDT SSDT SSDT SSDT SSDT SSDT

I can confirm that this also happens on my T43. It doesn't really
bother me, I just have to hold the poweroff button for 2-3 seconds after
$ sudo halt finishes.
Samuel mentioned that I can try to debug this, because the shutoff
server is less than 200 lines long. I'll see if I can add in some
mach_print calls and see what's up. It's officially on my todo list!

. You need to install the hurd via a CD.
I can confirm that the 2023 release installer CD worked to install the
Hurd on a T43. It should also work on a T60.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
