Just curious. What hardware are you using?

Hi,
after I resintalled all hurd on bare metal some time ago, I am without X.
If I run startx from root, it works.
I get this error when running as a user:

Hi,
I have updated all packages without issues.
When I try to login into my HURD box using telnet, I get on the console:

It's probably a bug, but since none of use use telnet, it's been overlooked.
But you shouldn't be using telnet either, you should use SSH.
It definitely didn't happen before the update. Also I

Hi all,
I run apt-get update and then upgrade tells me:
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these.

What should I try as troot? I fixed x11 as I wrote back by using the

I do run aptitude as root. It starts, I can select the packages, but
when it tries to download them it hangs. Tr

Hi,
is there a current guide for a X11 setup? I have a HURD install now in a

However I cannot start (using startx) "out of the box".
I remember that a couple of years ago, one had to startup console first

Hi,
I have some sad news: the machine I used for years to test HURD
