Hi,
I just noticed that the executable "cardmgr" used by
/etc/init.d/pcmcia is supposed to be at /sbin, however that's only
true if /usr is a symlink to /, which is not always true, specially if
crosshurd is used with the default options... So the safest would be
to globally replace /sbin/cardmgr

I tested it now on qemu and I found three minor issue:
1. In the installer, the Hurd ext2 partitions are not created with -b

Sure, lacking time for porting stuff, a bit busy with some
packages of mine and RC bug fixes, but still around.

Hi,
When trying to install "vim":
# apt-get install vim
...
vim: Depends: vim-runtime (= 1:7.1-022+1) but 1:7.1-138+1 is to
be installed.
I instead installed vim-tiny, but it's ugly since I can't get "syntax
on" working. I even tried modifying
/var/cache/apt/lists/debian.osuosl.org_debian_

Hi all,
I tried to install man-db, so I could use "man", but I found dependency issues:
# apt-get install man-db
...
man-db: Depends: bsdmainutils but it is not going to be installed
# apt-get install bsdmainutils
...
bsdmainutils: Conflicts: bsdutils (< 1:2.13-10) but
1:2.12-3+hurd.2

Just FYI, seems like Christos has committed the changes, we'll have to
wait for next release, :)...
BTW, this doesn't have to do with the debian-hurd package, which
doesn't get installed, but places a symlink to itself instead, :)...

Cool!
I will test this later today or tomorrow and report back.
I just uploaded aptitude, it should be available to mirrors in a coup

The K15 mini iso has been uploaded to gnuab.org. I have asked Guillem to
move it into place.
The usual warning. GNU/Hurd is a developing os and people should take the
proper precautions when using this image.
The gnu*.tar.gz tarball can be found within the image as baseGNU.tgz
This has turne
