has anyone of you managed to launch the One True Editor under X in
current GNU/Hurd, i.e. without "-nw"?
When I try, it gives me a "fatal error (11)" and dumps core. I've
filed a bug against emacs21 some months ago. So far there was no
response.

cat /dev/zero > /tmp/foobar
I don't know, if this matches your definition of "security issues" but
it's an effective way to make the box unusable.
A anonymous user has by default the same rights as "other users" if
the anonymous user
