I've uploaded a build of Tcl 8.3, with Tk 8.3 to follow,
and hopefully Objective CAML shortly thereafter.
I seem to recall there being a problem with dh_strip. Can
anyone tell me (if this is true) what the resolution for
this was?
I'm getting a few builds that crash on dh_strip due to a

A small multi-server OS for L4Ka? Where? I'm running L4ka's template

Ok, I don't get dselect-apt to work.
I can update the filr containing the package description. I can also
select the packages.
But, I can not download them. The package download starts fine, but
nothing is received. The screen is filled up with lines of:

*long explanation alert*
Ok, I think the L4 stuff needs a bit of background. Special for Niels: I
started doing a Sparc port, but there were some problems which are
similair to those that the Alpha port has, so that's why I react.
(oh, and I have an Alpha, so I'm also interested in the Alpha po
Hi,
I didn't find any dhcp clients in the Sid packages. Does it exist a Hurd
DHCP client? If not, does Hurd support all the features such a client
need (I think so)?

Hello,
is it possible/practical to implement device drivers under Hurd as
translators in user space? I think of removing all the device drivers
from GNUmach (or whatever micro kernel we use then ;), which already
make this micro kernel quite big. Then, you could for example settrans

I tried to install GNU/Hurd on my computer. AFAIR Hurd supports
the Adaptec AHA-2940UW. So I unpacked the tarball. Unfortunately
the kernel doesn't boot very far. It detects the Adaptec but
hangs there. From Linux I know that the next step would be to
detect the devices attached to the Adaptec. But

Yes, the culprit is 'xterm'
After compiling rxvt (thanks for the patch, Marcus) the command 'file /dev/tty'
gives me
'character special (0/0) in rxvt. So now it works.
Too bad I do not have the time to check the xterm source, Marcus said it is
hard to read
(spaghetti). And Ctrl-Z, Ctrl-C work i

The link ("easy guide to installing the Hurd on a Linux box.") seems to be down
and has been that way for over a month. Can someone fix it.
