The default pager (which is in the program /boot/serverboot) is the server
that provides paging to backing store as a service generically in the
system. There is always just one default pager, even i

Anywhere?
Sorry, I don't know how the boot script works, so if you could

I think if you just put $(default-pager) anywhere in the boot script,
it should do it. It might not work to have it on a line by itself, I'm not
sure.

Argh! Why did nobody tell me this? :)

Make sure you have a swap partition if you want to do something useful
(beside looking at the prompt and whispering *ah, it runs* :)

As always, the re

gnu-0.2 ran in 8Mb. It didn't set any speed records, but it booted and
ran (you could install from floppy, even). Unless memory requirements
have gone up, it should still be possible to

You are nearly here. Welcome!

Yes.

Maybe.

Marcus can answer this better. 100MB is enough.

That is not a possibility.
So, I have a machine free to try to install the Hurd on. Before I
download the files and clean up the hard drive, what are the system
requirements for the Hurd? In particular:
* Will it run on a 386?
* Will it run in 8 megs of RAM?
* How much hard drive space does it require?
By run, here, I m
