I tried my tests on a woody system (gcj 3.0.4-5). It is able to compile the
original source file, and correctly throws an error on my contrived test
case, so this is a regression.

This bug is 32-bit PPC SVR4 specific, which makes it more
difficult for me to debug. Can any of you look at extract_insn for this
failure and find out exactly what is not matching? It's most likely that
some secondary requirement is failing because the RTL itself looks valid.

I noticed this evening that gcc-3.2 could produce cross-compiler
packages, so I decided to give it a shot for hurd-i386.

What's the recommended binutils installation? I have it in /usr/local
right now, compiled from source. Are they planning a simil
