I have been having problems compiling KDE and found out that it was
caused by PR13544 which appears to be fixed in GCC CVS now. Can a new
upload of gcc be done soon?

configure: failed program was:

This happens on my new arts build which has updated autotools, before
updating autotools the configure script was small enough that the 32767
limit didn't affect it.

The upstream bug report regarding this issue is PR11716, it appears they
didn't feel like fixing it for gcc 3.3 but have fixed it for gcc 3.4.

I found that Ryan Murray has submitted a bug to upstream about this
problem (and an older one exists as well).

retitle 194330 g++: [mips/mipsel] ice: in propagate_one_insn
stop
This ICE occurs on mips as well.
Chris
Package: g++-3.2
Version: 1:3.2.3-2
Severity: serious
The current version of g++ on the arm buildd ICEs when it attempts to
build kdebase 3.1.2. I am not certain of the version being used but
reportbug seemed to think it was 3.2.3 probably from checking this local
system, (I think it might be 3.3)
I believe this bug has been fixed with 1:3.2.3ds0-0pre1. Bug #180520
which was fixed in the upload was a patch to correct this problem.
I will leave this bug open for the maintainer to close in case there is
more to this problem than I understand.
Thanks,
Chris

This build failed due to assembler errors, lots of "Error: can't
resolve" messages.

I was going to reassign this back to gcc-3.2 but I see the control
message must have never gone through...

Has this bug been fixed yet? (I assume it has not)
I am planning to upload kde 3.1 very soon (most likely this weekend)
so I guess it will have to be with gcc 2.95 :(

Does anyone know if/when Debian is planning on switching the default
compiler to gcc 3.1.x. I am waiting to upload KDE 3 to see if gcc 3.1
will become the default compiler anytime soon.

I wanted to let you know about a bug I have against one of my packages.
It appears a fix wrt libtool/gcc (ppc) is not currently in Debian?
Thanks,
Chris
