I've just upgraded by sid (i386) machine to the new libstdc++ without
realising it was broken. I've got an essay, written in lyx, due in 24
hours and lyx has stopped working (because of libstdc++). Does anyone know
where I can get a copy of pre5 version of libstdc++ (my local cache
doesn't h

I think this is an upstream libstdc++ bug. As a workaround, please
could you
- either statically link with libstdc++ (g++ -static)
- or compile using gcc-3.3/g++-3.3
