I have installed lxde to replace kde in terminals and somewhat succeded in
mastering the menu.. Now I try to limit the available sessions that ldm shows
when logging in.
Problem is we cant use kde because our terminals does not cope with it, and
neither will the server. Its to heavy.

Sorry, I made a typo in the config-file..
LDM_XSESSION=/usr/bin/startlxde
does work for thinclients. The menu to choose different sessions remains, but
whatever
you choose you get lxde. Thats ok for me right now.

are there any suggestions how to realize some kind of acces control for
the usage of printers and the internetconnection? The idea is to give
all teachers some tool to switch between allow printing / disallow
printing. Same for the internetconnection.
