I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, I couldn't find it in
the archives but I'm sure I read something about it.
The problem I'm having is on the thin clients I've setup (using the
2.6.9-ltsp-3 kernel), the first user (say, user01) logs in and gets

Possible fix:
I remember having been rid of all these by uninstalling smartd.
It keeps track of the status of hard disks and is nice as such, but it isn't

I do not believe this is a hardware problem. I believe the problem is simply
that the hard drive do not have SMART enabled, while the SMART daemon tries
to check the SMAR
