Is there curriculum available in .deb packages for example like the
debian-faq.
To have curriculum available by using aptitude and a package so students
would have there course material would be an awesome project. I am
curious if this sort of idea has already been started.

Less questions during installation, thus easier installation. And a
active community of people interested in Linux in educational
settings. :)
