Perhaps Skolelinux should ask for funding from Linuxfund? Anyone got
time to investigate? It would be great to get funding for example for
more gatherings, security work and development of key features.

Great. I added a link to the edubuntu package lists available from

Because there is no need for it. There is free space available in the
volume group, but it is a big hazzle to umount some of the partitions,
so I prefer to extend the partitions which are easy to umount. In
addition, we do not want to wast

The deal was that I should try to make this usable as a Skolelinux
Server, and maybe also as a Thin client. I've kind of achieved both, and
the result is availible as an installation CD from one of the following:
http://ftp.sk
I've played around a bit with net install of debian-edu. Someone tried
to make it work by using the initrd and kernel on the installation CD,
but that did not go very well. IN theory it should work by
-setting up a main server to support netbooting via on eth0 (backbone)
-make the installation CD a
Space is limited on developer and suddenly, builder wasn't able to build
new iso-images whenever needed. So I tested a bit localy on my own
server, and found out that if we started to use rdiff instead of storing
full iso's (gzipping them didn't help much), we could reduce the storage
need to keep

Should we translate it to norwegian and send it off to the norwegian
press as well? Anyone got the time to do it?
