refactoring, modularizing, etc.

Hi!
We are planning to do the next upload this weekend, and are
tentatively targetting friday. The main reason for the rush is the
fixups do the alternatives db, so that other packages can properly
install w/o need to make all of them cleanup the mess.

Hi!
While adding support for DEB_(HOST|BUILD)_ARCH_(BITS|ENDIAN) [0], I
noticed that the regex for the sparc architecture in cputable was
matching sparc64 in the GNU triplet, which is wrong as the mapping
from GNU triplets to Debian architectures should be 1:1 when the ABI
is not compatible.

Hi!
Thanks for the patch! Mostly comments about style issues. Also could
you document the options in the man page? :)

Ok, long time since last upload, and lots of changes have piled up since,
time for an upload. There's the normal assortment of refactoring, bug
fixes, some new features including the first changes needed for
multiarch, and our sid

Hi!
I've just removed Adam Heath and Brendan O'Dea (both CCed) from the
project users, which were listed as admins, but have not been involved

previous items.
Will probably add the items from this thread to the TODO list or a
wiki page.
