"4.5.3. Expected removals" (both for squeeze and wheezy) says that
python-setuptools is expected to be removed on upgrade. This makes no
sense to me.

content in Firefox.

Section 4.5.4 recommends doing "apt-get upgrade". However, very
likely this will lead to upgrade of udev, and section 4.5.5 says than
one needs to upgrade kernel before udev.
Ooops. I think I misread apt-get's output. s/very likely/impossible,
