Is this another wierdo of PowerPC arch? (as is with varargs).
varargs isn't weird on powerpc, it just happens that incorrect usage of it
works on i386 (like too much else, e.g. its wrong endianness hides type size
mismatches, ...) but not for us.

Or is there a way, say build the new libkdumpfile in experimental with
the Python bindings disabled, get the new pykdumpfile reviewed and also
built in experimental, then get them both promoted to unstable?

that glibc 2.2 only works on i486 and better on Intels. If so, all the
better - since Woody will be based on it why not compile all to a target
CPU of i686 and target platform of i486?

PS Please include my address in your reply
i686 - the
various kernel images for example, only those would not work on a lower
CPU.
I have not actually tried running RH 7 on an i486 but I'm sure it would work.
So the question is, why not adopt this for Debian too?

Michel

bitcoin has been in sid since a very long time. I'm using it without problem.
The maintainers refuse to let it migrate to testing because it _might_ contain

It has been partially fixed. But if someone read this and have time to help
fixing it for good, that would really help the project IMHO, because it affects
its overall quality, by preventing bugs to be reported.

Hello
Upstream of phppgadmin has nice unit tests in its github.com repository, but
they use a .gitattributes file [1] to strip these tests files from the
distributed tar files: All the unit tests are missing from the orig.tar.
I wonder how to proceed:
I don't think there is an option in github
Here's the result of my research:
uscan does support git clone. But it won't ignore the .gitattributes file.
I opened https://bugs.debian.org/947317
I went for an ugly README.source using "git deborig" for now.
Thank you everyone for the help!
