As per my emails
yesterday about a kiosk system, I've tried to generate a live CD using
bootcdwrite from the bootcd package, and it produces an iso, I can mount the
iso, and I can burn the iso (using k3b) - the CD just won't boot, either with
Qemu or with a real system. Am I missing som

In the XSF we are trying to prepare for the upcoming release of X.Org
6.9/7.0. Apart from the tremendous effort that David Nusinow is putting in
the experimental packages for 6.9, we are going to finally deactivate xterm
building in the 6.9 tree.

Are there provisions for such a discussion on some other forum
as well? I mean, there are people who can't be on IRC, and others
who have a principled objection to the charter of the channel
selected. Is there a preferred mechanism or mailing list where input
from such individuals

What documentation is available on the subject of creating debian
packages ? What documents should I read before starting ? And before
applying for NM ? I'm especially interested, for the beginning, in a
comprehensive HowTo on the subject. I have already read the social
contract and the DFSG ;)

considering implementing over the next few days. I'm not so sure
though after reading bug 192008, so I thought I'd bring it up here and
see if there's any kind of consensus.
