Well being the fwbuilder maintainer yes this is the correct behavior as
fwbuilder itself doesn't have anything that depends on xauth... I also as a
network administrator for a living, and I do use fwbuilder for my own internal

I am not quite sure whether this is a bug, or just that I am asking for
something unreasonable. But here goes anyway.
I installed a machine to act as a firewall today, using Debian stable.
I did not install X-Free on it as the machine is a touch underpowered
for that. So I though I will install
