ts the font metric files in /usr/lib/texmf/fonts/metafont/tfm/, not /usr/lib/texmf/fonts/tfm/. I was able to get latex and dvips working by symlinking /usr/lib/texmf/fonts/metafont/tfm/ to /usr/lib/texmf/fonts/tfm/. I'll append the compressed debugging log. Matt Birkholz <[EMAIL PROTECT
