It appears the the BTS's version tracking may not have fully realized what was
going on, explaining why it's closed and archived.
Though the following bug was closed several months ago, gnucash from
sid still depends on libwebkitgtk-1.0-0. What is the current status?
Shouldn't this bug have remained open until sid got a fixed version?

removing exported symbols requires a soname bump. But one can say that
those symbols were never public and so they are not a part of ABI.
Fixing this upstream and bumping the soname should be easier rthough..
