When I startup the system(debain lenny) few days before,a notice shows that there's no network device found,in the form of an icon at the rigth bottom of my KDE desktop,but when I run "ifconfig","eth0" is showed: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr inet addr:*** Bcast:*** Mask:***
