Thanks, guys. I finally decided to give up. This problem already sucked
me three days. I will switch to flexbackup, which is a higher level
backup tools based on tar and other low level command. I hope I can
happily live with it.

我的猜想不一定对. 那个broken pipe不知道到底指什么.
我试了备份到硬盘的文件, 而不是备份到tape, 所有的问题都消失了.
似乎tar + cron + tape + bigfile 合起来造成了问题. 实在是百思不得其解.

rong with my cron, but I just don't know how to
