lots of testing I wanted to do (incl. of CD images).
Given how busy I am at the moment, I couldn't do that in time for the
official release.
Would it be reasonable and practical - even preferable - to postpone
release of kfreebsd until at least 1-2 weeks after the official release?

My attached patch makes the same changes here that were already made to

Patch is attached. Thanks!

The sid_d-i daily build will work if you choose the "Default install
(graphical mode)" option. That uses the FreeBSD 8 kernel for install;
it installs the FreeBSD 9 kernel later.

I noticed during testiong that `pstree $(which gnome-session)` showed a
single pulseaudio child process; for some reason it may hang (AFAIK I
have no working sound devices, if that makes any difference) and after
some timeout either gdm3 or gnome-session would otherwise show the

task, a whole desktop environment became uninstallable on two release
architectures. We still have a tasksel option for GNOME (fails with apt
error 100 due to this) and CD's are being built with its packages.

d be really helpful if you are able to test again with pulseaudio

Yes that seems right, kfreebsd-10 isn't available yet in sid, but it may
be in a few months, and then it can be included on the CDs. Only

I agree that kfreebsd-9, unfortunately, is no longer useful to have in
jessie/sid D-I because of this. And fixing it is not worth substantial
effort. So I'm happy to see it removed now.
I don't have commit access to debian-cd either.

Thanks :) All patches for the kfreebsd d-i Beta 2 errata got uploaded.
There is only the #757986 "inappropriate ioctl for device" prompt, that
we could try to fix before Beta 2 *if* there is time after the above.
