Attempted to install Debian 11.0.0 on AMD Ryzen 3 2200G ASRock A320M-HDV
motherboard with VGA connected NEC EA231WU 1920x1200 monitor. Both the

I may have a clue as to what is going on. I tried booting Clonezilla
Live at 800x600 resolution and got a similar shredded raster image as
with the Debian installer. Then I booted Clonezilla with the 1024x768
option and the display was perfect.

I was wondering if the VGA connection might be part of the problem so I
tried booting the netinstall iso with the monitor connected through the
HDMI port. The result was identical to VGA: the selection screen
appeared perfectly but both the graphical and text install options
produced a shredded
