Dear Sir/Madam,
I have been keen to switch to LINUX and have
purchased two versions of LINUS O/S but have not been able to setup the
system in GUI Mode since I have a VINTRON Mother Board (Intel i810e Chipset)
and that is not being supported by the LINUX O/S. May I request yo

Hi
You should install new kernel 2.4.22, and set first partition as swap(size
1.5GB). Without swap as first partition, linux will not boot on big harddisks.

The changes on debian-installer+kernel finally were this:
#include
cramfsprogs
dash
+discover
+eject
+grub
initrd-tools
-kernel-image-2.4.19-386
+kernel-image-2.4.21-4-386
+locales
+lvm10
zlib1g
Is this good for a commit? Comments?
Regards...

Hello debians,
first I would like to say, that you do
great work (it's neccessary to say this sometimes ;-).
Perhaps you are interested in some problems I had
with downloading the current non-us ISO image of
woody via win XP (:-P)

The modifications look good. But I do suspect you can safely remove
zlib1g, cramfsprogs, dash and initrd-tools from the list of packages,
as these are dependencies for the kernel image, and will be pulled in
automatically.
