Beeing bored yesterday I tried to create a jigdo file set for the first
of the four Debian GNU/Hurd H4 snapshot CDs.
That's what I did and the problems I had:
I downloaded jigdo 0.6.6 from
http://home.in.tum.de/~atterer/jigdo/jigdo-bin-0.6.6.tar.bz2, unpacked.

There have been big changes in the Hurd archive since the F2 images.
It is important that people run /cdrom/upgrade/initial.sh as soon as the
cdrom is mounted. This upgrades the tarball. There is a typo in
Cook-book.

from FSN and burned them. Yesterday I wanted to install the Hurd.
Here is what happens :
As usual I booted from main cd and entered
the installation
program.
After partiotioning the hard disk I

The HURD has grown to the point where two CDs are required. So the discs
have been rationalised.
Disc 1 (main). This has been checked for dependecies and should be quite
consistent. The exception is that the packages from alpha.gnu.org have
been included regardless. apt is included on this
