I used Gimp 1.2 (linux), and did not rasterize text layers. Are you sure you
can not edit the text? try
doubleclicking the text tool, select 'use dynamic text', choose the layer

Wow, I've been away on holidays. Debian 3.0 what a nice surprise.
I've updated the v.4 cd covers (including the gif's) for those
unfortunate not running Gimp ;-)

I recently downloaded and burned a potato CD, and was struck by the lack
of official CD covers!
Not very adept in the Gimp, I set forth to make a more
'exclusive'-looking CD cover.
The result turned out pretty cool, I think.
