proxy-suite and sdcc fail on amd64 and ia64 but not on i386.

and there is a patch now floating around that fixes the ld assertation
failure - but now ld produces an error. Maybe

individual packages.
I cannot reproduce this on amd64 with the -m32 flag. Can you run the
