The patch that I previously sent seems wrong. I confused the order.
Basically is to change the line inside debian/rules:
-dh_shlibdeps debian/tmp/usr/bin/*
+ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=debian/afnix/usr/lib/afnix:$$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
dh_shlibdeps debian/tmp/usr/bin/*
