It would appear that the symptoms may have been caused by attempting
to execute 'cryptmount --prepare' on a device that already had a
mounted filesystem. This condition is apparently trapped by
the device-mapper library.

Problem is not related to Debian package. It was caused by lack of documentation
on how partitions should be configured and used by the OS before attempting to
configure and use them for cryptmount.
